The twelfth Stephanie Plum adventure from the bestselling author of EXPLOSIVE EIGHTEEN and SMOKIN' SEVENTEEN, JANET EVANOVICH. Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is spending her days chasing down the usual cast of losers and weirdos. Until, that is, the tables are turned and now someone's after her. The mysterious stalker, a crazed woman dressed in black, carries a Glock and has a secret connection to the dark and dangerous Ranger. Suddenly, the action turns deadly serious and Stephanie goes from hunting skips to hunting a murderer. The chase is one and Ranger and Stephanie must work together to find the killer, rescue a missing child and stop a rapidly rising body count. But they're getting too close for comfort - what will Joe Morrelli, Stephanie's on-again, off-again boyfriend, have to say?

This was the very best of the series so far. Finally a little more insight into "Ranger".

Janet Evanovich continues to write zany and hilarious stories about Stephanie Plum... much to my enjoyment! What a great book... keep it up, Janet!

I sent this and the rest of the series to my niece in New York and she can't stop raving about them. The same can be said for all the others to whom I have recommended this series. They are so funny and easy to read. You can't find a better way to pass a few hours than with Stephanie, Grandma Mazur, Lula, Ranger and Joe! Twelve Sharp is my favorite of the series so far and I have read them all!

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire Stephanie Plum series! Twelve Sharp was another funny, funny mystery. The language is a bit tart, but I didn't find it offensive. Evanovich is a marvelous author. The story line is such that when you start the book, you hate to put it down for any reason until it is finished!!! By all means Read, Enjoy!!!!!!!!!

Stephanie does it again!
Another Plum novel. You will belly laugh from number one through number twelve.
Publishers Weekly, 2006-05-22 The mixture of slapstick and gunplay that has put Evanovich's series about a sassy, less than competent New Jersey bounty hunter at the top of bestseller lists once again works its magic in Stephanie Plum's latest caper (after 2005's Eleven on Top). Stephanie, who freely admits her failings as a hunter of fugitives, faces a growing work backlog that threatens the continued existence of her job. Her clumsy efforts to clear some cases, along with the help of her outrageous colleague, Lula, result only in their adding another sad sack to the office payroll a forlorn shoe salesman who's talked off a ledge by Stephanie's offer of a position as file clerk. Stephanie's ambivalence toward the two men in her life becomes harder to maintain when one of them, the mysterious Ranger, is accused of kidnapping his own daughter. Countless over-the-top scenes, including one at a funeral parlor, will delight longtime fans. 1.25 million first printing; author tour. (One-day laydown June 20) (c) Copyright PWxyz, LLC.
