Hardcover. Very Good, Dust Jacket Good+. Orange cloth spine w/ beige paper-covered boards, 519 pages. This book is in very good condition overall; some edgewear, an owner's name penned and a bookplate pasted on the front end paper, but otherwise clean & bright internally with a strong binding. Dust Jacket lightly soiled, small chips at top and bottom edges of the spine, but still nice, now protected in a mylar cover.
Good in Good jacket. 9.5" 519 pages. "Though the battle was crucial to the outcome of the American Civil War, the full story of Shiloh has never until now been told. Commonly considered a draw, Shiloh represented in fact a major reversal for the Confederacy-a Confederacy that mounted at the outset one of the most incredible suprise attacks in American history and came within a hair's breadth of inflicting a major disaster upon the North." Text is clean and tight except for dust foxing on the top edge of the text and a gift inscription inside cover. Red cloth with gold lettering on its spine over soiled, gray papered borads. Dust jacket is not price clipped but is scratched.
