Fascinating analysis of the impact of WWI

Tremendously interesting look at the altered role of women in English life following the mass casualties of WWI. Covers the social, legal, economic, and personal impact on English women of the early 20th century. Wonderfully written; includes the "big picture" ripple effects of fewer men as well as individual stories of women from all walks of life. Very moving.
