Focusing on the design of microwave circuits and components, this valuable reference offers professionals and students an introduction to the fundamental concepts necessary for real world design. The author successfully introduces Maxwell's equations, wave propagation, network analysis, and design principles as applied to modern microwave engineering. A considerable amount of material in this book is related to the design of specific microwave circuits and components, for both practical and motivational value. It also presents the analysis and logic behind these designs so that the reader can see and understand the process of applying the fundamental concepts to arrive at useful results. The derivations are well laid out and the majority of each chapter's formulas are displayed in a nice tabular format every few pages. This Third Edition offers greatly expanded coverage with new material on: Noise; Nonlinear effects; RF MEMs; transistor power amplifiers; FET mixers; oscillator phase noise; transistor oscillators and frequency multiplier.
Fair. 3rd ed., international ed., Item is intact, but may show shelf wear. Pages may include notes and highlighting. May or may not include supplemental or companion material. Access codes may or may not work. Connecting readers since 1972. Customer service is our top priority.
Good. Hardback without dust jacket, ex-library(officially withdrawn) with usual library stamps and markings, otherwise good/v. good. Microwave Engineering, third edition published 2005, 700pp, weighing 1.4kg will ship overseas for extra postage.
This book basically covers all aspects needed for researcher in the field of electromagnetic and radio frequency. Simple, easy to understand and pack with references and examples. I should recommend to everyone in the field.

Good for student and reseacher in microwaves
Very good basic book for beginners and advanced students in microwaves. Moreover is a coplete reference book for researchers and workers in microwaves. It is easier (less formulas and more pragmatic) and newer (it has written after) than classic Collin's microwave book. Respect to that book is more complete when planar waveguides (e.g. microstrip lines, coupled lines, coplanar lines) are discussed.
