The biography a group of men, about 20, who were pilots, or ex-pilots, or men who had a knack for keeping aircraft flying, who made up the legendary Flying Tigers. Gregory "Pappy" Boyington (1912-1988) was a United States Marine Corps officer who was an American fighter ace during World War II. He later commanded the famous U.S. Marine Corps squadron, VMF-214 ("The Black Sheep Squadron") Later, unfortunately he was a prisoner of war.
