Good in Good jacket. 0399135863 For the first time the original uncut. This is a former library book with the usual identifiers. From cult favorite to bestseller to classic, Robert A. Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land is arguably the most popular modern science-fiction novel of all time. Now, 30 years after its publication, there is a commemorative anniversary edition that includes 50, 000 words from the original uncut manuscript, plus an introduction by Mrs. Virginia Heinlein. All books shipped within 24 hours with U.S. Postal Service Delivery Confirmation, each order is packaged in a new box with bubble wrap, and always your satisfaction is guaranteed.
Though dated in some ways when it came out, Heinlein's classic still resonates with existential and cosmic wit, pungent satire and thoughtful but humorous sallies into the worlds of sex, politics and religion. If you haven't sampled Heinlein's classic yet, try it and be prepared for a thoughtful and entertaining experience.

Martian Travel Anyone???
This is a book where you wonder what is on the next page. It makes you think about religion and what we consider to be normal behavior. Young and old alike will find this an interesting read.

Stranger gets less strange with age
I remember this book from my youth, when it was thought slightly shocking, if ok because only science fiction. Now we've heard it before, but the book is still a great classic of science fiction. Some of the discs were slightly defective, so I had to skip a bit, but not too bad.

Still great after 30 years!!!
I read this book at least thirty years ago. I don't know what triggered my urge to read Heinlein again but I bought 3 of his books from Albris! However, Stranger in a Strange Land will always be one of my favorite S/F stories. It has it all - Martians, space travel, mystery, murder, intrigue, angels, magic! Add a sly slam to organized religion and a beautiful love story and there you have it - something for all ages, gender, reading level...
