Like Shelly's "Frankenstein", Stevenson writes a cautionary tale of the dangers of science. Dr Jekyll's desire to split the good and evil from man results in murder. Mr Hyde is at first fun for Jekyll, but gradually Jekyll understands the dangers of such a man. Hyde does not feel guilt, but Jekyll can. Stevenson's narration is down right creepy in sections. This is a true classic to be read by anyone looking for a good scare.
