Langdon suspects the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion - a centuries old secret society - and has sacrificed his life to protect the Priory's most sacred trust: the location of a vastly important religious relic hidden for centuries. But it now appears that Opus Dei, a clandestinesect that has long plotted to seize the Prirory's secret, has now made its move.Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine code and quickly assemble the pieces of the puzzle, the Priory's secret - and a stunning historical truth - will be lost forever...Breaking the mould of traditional suspense novels, The Da Vinci Code is simultaneously lightning-paced, intelligent and intricately layered with remarkable research and detail. From the opening pages to the unpredictable and stunning conclusion, Dan Brown proves himself to be a master storyteller.Hide synopsis

I think the way Dan Brown works is really amazing. While you are reading a story, all the information that you read about cults, rituals, historic events and monuments are true and accurate. This book has a great story, is told in a superb way and is much better than the movie.
This is the first book by Mr. Brown that I have read. I was fascinated by this book from the very beginning. This book is full of twists and turns with a few puzzles tossed in. You will have finished this book without realizing you've spent all evening. This is not a book you want to pass up.
This is probably my favorite book of all time! This is the book I read - 5 or 6 years ago that really made me WANT to read... and read I have!!!
This book has it all. Murder, Mystery, History, Symbolism, Love, Tragedy, Travel, EVERYTHING!!! It's absolutely perfect.
This book... made me open my eyes to the possiblity of things out there that my momma didn't tell me about. I really felt liberated after reading this.
I only read this book because of the controversy surrounding it. I wanted to know what all the noise was about, so i did'nt expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It made you think about the possiblity of some things where religion is concerned. This book holds your attention from the very begining......
I didn't think I would enjoy this book due to the involvement of religion but I thoroughly did. The problem solving in the book is excellent and I really liked the main character Langdon. A good read indeed!
"Do not react to this message. Just listen calmly. You are in danger right now. Follow my directions very closely."
I'm so excited for the new Dan Brown book to be released next month so I'm re-reading The Da Vinci Code right now.
It's ten years since I read it the first time. Following Langdon ...
