Excellent story. A friend loaned me her VERY old book, and as a surprise I ordered a "newer" one for her. She was pleased. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Christy was a book that was very enjoyable to read. It took you back to the early 1900 in the Tennessee and Kentucky hills. It showed Christy's love for people and how they lived.. I would recommend this book to anyone that is a history buff, romantic novel, or just like to read clean books. No sex or gore

Christy is very much a coming of age story of a young girl full of high hopes and ideals. Fantasy quickly gives way to reality as she finds herself plunged into a harsh new world among an ignorant people with a code of behavior she doesn?t understand. Based on a true story Catherine Marshall is able to weave an intriguing story with believable, vulnerable characters. Deep frustration and hurt with circumstances she has no control over combined with conflicted personal relationships bring Christy a new understanding of God?s sovereignty and grace. Christy is the engaging story of a young woman and the proud hardworking mountain people that win her heart. Christy will win your heart as well .
