I really enjoyed this book. In fact I took a trip to Molokai to visit the leper colony after reading it. There are 22 lepers still living there and it was a very moving experience that I am really glad I had an opporturnity to take.

Molaka'i is a heart warming and inspirational story. You come to know each of the characters and feel the rage and shame that they themselves felt. This is a beautiful story that represents a time in American history that many (including myself) may not have been aware of.
