You Must Read This

In my next life, I want to be like Michael Dirda. A great book critic and an easy-going, charming essayist, he again demonstrates that anyone who loves books would love to have a conversation with him. Failing the face-to-face, one can ponder his essays, holding silent arguments and vigorously noddings one's head. Favorite quote: Almost everyone who likes to read looks back fondly on early adolescence as the Golden Age, when books really were magic casements opeinin of faery lands forlorn. Who can resist such a statement of truth?
