Brilliant and fast paced. A book of great depth despite a simple story. The scope of this epic is remarkable. I couldn't wait to get to the end to find out what happened and I was very sorry when it was over.

Vargas characters and descriptions are really incredible. The book takes you to the story of a revolution in far Brazil, but the characther psyche and their marvelous,even magic enviroment would give you a reading you won't forget.
