One of the great books in the greatest seris ever. They all tak place in this other magical world with wizards death (the character death) and alot of others. Now this magical world is called the disc world because its a flat world so theres an end of the world there. That disc of the world is on the back of four elephants which their on a giant god turtle. Its full of fantasy and i would recomend this book to anyone intrested in fantasy.

The Color Of Fun

by Wampyrii on Jul 3, 2008

The Color Of Magic is the first in the long running series of books set in the mythical fantasy world of the Discworld. This series, created by Terry Pratchett, is a hilarious satire set in a fantasy world full of wizards, elves, dwarves etc. which closely mirrors our own but viciously lampoons human nature and world events through satire, innuendo and just plain poking fun out of us all. If you can laugh at yourself and the follies of the world around you, then you'll probably laugh out loud countless times reading this series. The Color Of Magic introduces us to one of the Discworld's most popular characters, the bumbling, cowardly wizard Rincewind who ends up playing tour guide and protector to the inquisitive tourist Twoflower and his carnivorous, multi-legged luggage. No an easy job in the bustling, crazy Discworld where Death mingles, Gods literally play games with people as the pawns, wizards, trolls, dragons, bandits and just about everything else is out to get you, especially if you are Rincewind and have a habit of attracting trouble. The Color Of Magic lampoons fantasy cliches to hilarious effect and is a great start to an even better series. Dry one-liners, slapstick humor, innuendo, satire and just plain comic genius abound throughout the book and even if you are not a fan of fantasy fiction, there is so much depth to the series you've just got to get on board if you've never picked up a Pratchett book before.
