This is laugh out loud, roll off the couch funny! Even comes with recipes - not necessarily good ones, however. For anyone who needs a little humor in their life. and doesn't mind it at the expense of the dead.
I really enjoyed this book. I'm going to send a copy to my sister. Being a southerner and from a long line of southern women, I can relate to so much. I love the humor and the recipes (many of which I remember from my childhood) help take me back in time.
These recipes tend to be sized for larger gatherings and are perfect for church potlucks or yes, funerals, and are basic great-tasting Southern cooking cuisine. The best part of the book, however, is the narrative -- it's hilariously observant of social mores and is worth reading even if you never cook.
