An in-depth study of a very complicated subject. The relationship between British industry and the Royal Navy in the interwar years, of course with the Treasury right in the thick of things. Fascinatnig study of how investments are made, national skills are gained and lost, and the sheer comlpexity of military (especially naval) procurement in the 20th century.
