Robert Jordan's; A New Spring.
I have recently read finished all the books awaiting the 12th. If you are a series junky like I am this is one series that will keep you enthralled. A New Spring gives you the kick start and triggers your ability and devotion to all the books of the series.
It was the first I read; suggested by a friend and I was instantly hooked. Hence the ability to continue with this collossus series which, I fervently hope Jordan dedicates the rest of his career to. It truely is worth comendation.
A New Spring introduces the characters Morainnie and Lan. I have to admit feeling emense frustration at finishing this book and starting the Eye Of The World. The New Spring is a Prelude and should be read that way. However I fell in love with these two characters and their potential development. By the Eye Of the World focus is shifted to Rand Al'Thor.
Understandably if we were to follow these characters with the dedication Jordan gives to the epic we would see it stretch at least 20 novels. A New Spring however frustrating set my path on the journey of the Wheel and for that I am most grateful. Surprising life lessons and Fate Philosophy are present in these novels. A worth while read for every Series Enthusiast and anyone interested in Fantasy Fiction.
