After you have mastered your camera, your next major step is understanding what makes a great photo.

Bryan Peterson's book teaches you the difference between a pretty picture and a great photo. You will find information and examples not found in ordinary photography books.

Peterson gives examples of his work and then comments on the composition decisions he made and why he made them. I found his method of teaching by example worked for me.

Really enjoyed this book and gave me a few more ideas and 'seeing' things differently as well as ideas in general on photography. Probably more aimed at the beginner to intermediate photographer though experts may find it a good refresher. I like how the author provides 2 photographs of the same subject and how it could look if you took the photo from a different angle etc..
