I had never heard of the Doolittle Raid when the Americans fought a strike against Japan after Pearl Harbour until I saw someone reading the book. The author ensures that even someone like me who had never heard of the raid is well informed of the background. I was still cautious in buying a copy till I saw another review from another Brit who had read it which was very positive. In this story it puts aside the brash Americans we are so use to but instead a genuine courage of any pilot that any country would be proud of.
