The level of intimacy this man had with the Holy Spirit is captivating. Many of the words and truths revealed in this book slew me. This book will remain a source of reference and a prayer guide for quite some time.

  • A wonderful book on the power of prayer Jul 10, 2010
    by lovesreading

This book is about a man who loves God and is willing to learn His ways and to learn how to really pray. To see the training of the Holy Spirit in an ordinary life, and what God will do with a life submitted to Him makes this book a real keeper. Anyone who is interested in really knowing God would totally benefit from this book.

  • For any Christian Seeking a Closer Wal Jun 12, 2009
    by HumbleServant

Prior to reading this book, I had never heard of Mr. Howells. Having read through his life story, I feel changed, challenged and chained to the thought of a deeper prayer LIFE, not so much as a lengthy prayer TIME. Waiting on God and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead in his prayer life showed that the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much!

A must read for any Christian seeking to draw closer to Christ!
