I adore Teresa Medeiros but sadly this is not one of my favorite books by her. It is not my least favorite (that would be The Vampire Who Loved Me) but it certainly not something I would read again.
The story drags on for way too long without it really going anywhere. It was nice that she built this paradise for her characters in the novel but after a while, it just became boring. Instead of quickly resolving the issues between the main characters, she kept tossing them around until the reader becomes frustrated with how long it is taking for the characters to come to together. After all, she could have done it chapters ago.
But for anyone who is a Teresa Medeiros fan, maybe they should read it just so they could have and come to their own conclusions about the story. I simply think it doesn't measure up to her other stories.
