This is an important work, both the first half about his time in the Nazi concentration camps, and the seond half that explains his philosophy on "meaning".

This books reputation had reached me years ago after reading the '7 Habits of Highly Effective People.' It is a great book for anyone interested in getting a healthy perspective on their life. It is two books in one. The first part about the authors time in a concentration camp and then about how this experience was implemented into his medical practice. There is a great bit in the book when he states his belief that no matter what happens to you in life you can always choose how you respond.

There is a reason this book has remained important ever since Frankl wrote it. It is relavent. We all can relate to the personal effort and struggle which we face in our own life and others experience in theirs, as Frankl reveals his personal struggle and review.

I have read this book several times throughout my life and never fail to find it to be an incredibly powerful book. If I could pick one book to help anyone deal with pain, depression, finding meaning in life- it would be this one.
