This is a terrific example of the Eve Dallas series. I love Eve and her interaction with her world, Roarke and Mavis. This early story shows why people become addicted to the "In Death" series. You become very involved and invested in the search for the purveyors of this deadly drug and the true killer. The various relationships in the book are very well done and consistent, not only throughout this book but the entire series. The ending is not only a satisfying one but the true culprit is a surprise. I give it two thumbs up - more if I had them....:-)
