Good, not great... Nov 8, 2012

I waited with great anticipation for this to arrive after reading the synopsis. It was a good storyline that just didn't live up to what it should have been. The building itself as a character was good, and the involuntary time travel of unsuspecting residents (past & present) is so rich in promise that what the story delivered was a let down. And it was distracting and a little frustrating to have the scene and characters change so abruptly after every few pages - it was impossible to connect with any individual or moment before it was replaced by a new scene. And while I'm given this moment to rant, why must EVERY character (of 20+?) have some bizarre incomprehensible name? Just a good book, not a great book. Not one I'll be reading a 2nd time.
