    This guy is intense. He analyzes every aspect of weight loss, fat loss, muscle gain, diet, exercise, sex techniques, etc, down to the enth degree. He tries everything himself to see how it works, and explains all the calculations and permutations. If you've ever read a Cooks magazine description of how they tested 100 recipes for mac and cheese, for example, and they explain every last variation they tried until they found the best possible combo, then you'll have an idea of the intensity of this author's approach. I would find the book more user friendly if it was broken into volumes, and/or had some spiral bound excerpts that contained only the parts that one needed to perform the physical aspects of all the information, such as a volume or workbook of the exercises, a separate one for the diet, etc. The book is VERY big! and will not stay open or prop open for use. It is also not conducive to hauling around on the train or the beach or the plane. Overall, well written, researched, and interesting!

    The book has a outline for a complete diet and timeline. It predicts you will loose weight at a projected steady rate.

    this book might provide some insights, but if you're into fitness and have learned how your body responds to foods then there isn't much here for you. What he presents is basically a modified Paleo diet. Atkins even. Anyone that cuts grain and dairy out of their diet is going to see health improvements and fat loss.
