Karen Armstrong is an intelligent woman. I love this book and I plan on getting all of her work. I have read Eckhart Tolle's books and I want to say she is right there with him.

To get any good out of this book you have to do the drill, actually start practicing the mindset prescribed. The background from the different religions is interesting, but the heart of the book is personal committment to a life of compassion.

Twelve concise steps to be more mindfully compassionate. Armstrong begins with a comprehensive context and then delimits each step in a thoroughly understandable and engaging fashion.
