Her usual great form Aug 26, 2010
Elizabeth George is up to her usual great form in this latest in the Inspector Linley series. He is, of course, still mourning Helen's death, but he is persuaded to go back to work. While we may not like (spoiler alert) his attraction to his new boss (she's not nearly good enough for him!), I'm sure George will work it out in the end. While the two concurrent stories seem to have no connection to each other, don't worry, dear readers, that too will all come clear in the end. The setting in New Forest prompts the reader to hit the search engines in quest of more information about that area and the wild ponies. And as usual, the characters are drawn so well we feel they are friends and neighbors.
The only bad thing about an Elizabeth George book is that we have to wait so long between them.
