An uneven memoir about a child's recollection's of a priviledged
life in Egypt before expulsion as Jews, and struggles after arriving in the USA to survive. Her early memories almost seem too complete for a child of six.

Loved reading all about Cairo and the Jewish life there before the jews were persecuted.
It was interesting to follow this family to the US. Their transition was extremely well written with vivid details.
