The ISBN system was devised beginning in 1967, and books published prior to then don't have "editions" associated with them. It's very similar with movie, music and video game UPCs. This book is a good support text. It explains things in an easily accessible way. It would benefit from having a few more examples. Although not in sufficient detail to enable someone to teach themselves C Programming, it does help understanding.
