"This is a beautiful book. It is a collection of poetry from around the world, edited by Naomi Shihab Nye (my personal favorite poet). Never skip an introduction or a preface or an end note written by her. They are always very moving.
This is a great book to use in the classroom. Most of the poems are free verse, and it's neat for the students to see pieces of writing from so many cultures. There are poets from China, Iran, Portugal, Afghanistan, Peru...
