Agreed - We DO need water

The book explains that people need far more water than most people drink. I highly recommend it.

Everyone needs this knowledge

I've only rated this 4 stars because the newer versions are better, but without a doubt, all of us should understand what is in this book.

packed with information

I AM always looking for a way to avoid pharmaceuticals. This book is the anwer. Lots of great research on helping my body to be healthy. A little difficult to read because it is so scientific. But now you know why "water is the cure".

Good advice

I was aware of a few of the problems associated with being chronically dehydrated. Dr Batmanghelidj has done a great job of explaining exactly what happens when we are dehydrated in terms that anyone can understand. His explanations are clinical and scientific yet written in such a way a layman can easily understand what he is telling you. I would recommend this book to anyone having any type of health issues from excess weight to medical issues; certainly before taking any more pills or having any surgery. As a nutritional consultant I see the effects of dehydration on a regular basis. I recommend this book to my clients so they can understand how much their health depends on drinking water. Dr Batmanghelidj is to be commended for this great work and his efforts to educate people.

Valuable book

I ordered this book primarily because it hinted it could help people who suffered from migraines. I have suffered with them for over 40 years since I was 12 years old. I hoped it would help them somewhat. To my amazement, after following the suggestions in the book for only 3 weeks, my headaches have practically disappeared. Previously, I had been waking with a migraine every morning for over 2 years. In the last 2 months, I have woken only twice with a headache. However, in addition, my blood pressure also went down. I was able to stop my blood pressure medicine after about 3 weeks of making sure I was taking in more water. Once I actually starting measuring my water intake, I realized how LITTLE I had been drinking although I thought I had been drinking more. I passed my book on to my daughter who also has had migraine since her teenage years. I am going to buy 2 more copies--another for myself and one for my daughter-in-law. That is how much I believe what the doctor has to say about the lack of water. The cost of the book is far less than migraine medicine or for blood pressure medicine. I would recommend this book to any person with medical issues to see if the information could benefit them as well as it has me. At the small cost, it is certainly worth at least giving a try. While one may not accept everything the doctor states, a great deal of what he says makes total sense.
