Illustrated boards, hard cover with fairly mild wear and soiling including tape marks from where jacket was taped to boards. Front board is slightly loose with hinge exposed for a couple of inches at the front end papers. The distinctive illustrations simply glow. The jacket main panels are bright with light soiling, with mild edge wear. We have applied a protective fold-on cover. With a few library marks. Interior pages mostly clean. Binding is good.

Very Good+ in Very Good-dust jacket. Hardcover with dustjacket, later printing, signed and dated by the author on the title page: "M. de Angeli 1971." Book is very attractive but does have a couple of minor flaws: mild rubbing to the corners and a small, shallow bump on the top edge, the color-illustrated covers are bright and clean as new, the binding is tight and square and the contents are fine, the jacket has rubbing along the folds, a 1-inch by 1/2 inch edge-chip at the top of the front panel and a few edge-tears, the jacket is clean and presentable the original price (3.50) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included; Signed by Author.

INSCRIBED AND DATED BY THE AUTHOR ON THE TILE PAGE: "To Billy/ Marguerite de Angeli/ 1944". A clean, very good plus copy, some bumping and wear to the lower tips and very minor wear at the spine ends. In dust jacket with shallow chips to the lower front edge, larger chip rear panel left edge and shallow chips rear edges. Original price of $2.00 intact on front flap. A very acceptable copy.
