A good book! I have read all in the series now and I love them! Kim Harrison's depiction of the Hollows is detailed and well thought out. The relationship between Rachael and her partner, Ivy is full of twists and turns, as Rach navigates the river of contradictions that is Ivy....or any vampire as a matter of fact. It's terrific and should make any reader long for the next book.

Give me more!
I thoroghly enjoyed this book, cover to cover. I rated it 4 out of 5 stars for only one reason: this book cannot stand alone. Too many references to previous books that would make it too choppy to read as a 1st time Kim Harrison reader.
However, as a fan with the entire series glowing from my book-shelves, I would be happy to read the entire series just to get to the teasers at the end of this book and wait impatiently for the next...oh yea! I guess I'm already there...
