Very Good in Very Good DJ. First printing, very good hardcover shows "no longer the property of Spokane Public Library" stamps at both end papers (though hard to see because of the illustrations) and at half title page, else tight and clean, there are no other library indicators and doesn't appear to have been in circulation (perhaps just a duplicate sold at a library sale or something, dust jacket (price at flap) is very good while showing some edge wear including tiny open chips and short closed tears, light soil, and staining near top edge of front panel. 333 pages with some black & whites. Solid and still fairly pleasing copy of this notable work from the highly regarded author and gamesman.
Near fine in good dust jacket, in fresh mylar cover; lite soiling to pageblock edges, staining to upper right quadron of jacket front, a few tiny cracks to jacket edges else a tight square unmarked copy in unclipped dust jacket.
Very good in very good dust jacket. Binding is clean and straight; tanning to top of the page block. Dust Jacket is unclipped, and lightly worn at edges. 333 p. illus., ports. 24 cm. Includes: Illustrations, Portraits. Great copy for a collector.
Very interesting book that tells about the life of both black and whites in the 1940's - 1960's.
Very " colorfull " in portions but tells it like it was during that time. Goes into the hunting aspect along with the problems facing the farmers/ planters and the growing unrest of the native population. Mr. Ruark has several books about his time and experiences in Africa and everyone is worth reading both from a hunters interest and historical points of country, life style and human view points
