Good+ in Fair Price Unclipped jacket. Book A bright, tight edition. Perimeter sunned; corners and spine bumped; endpapers darkened at spine; some pencil and pen comments and underlining. DJ is uncut, but is in 2 pieces, split at the spine; periphery is sunned; some soil from handling; now protected in mylar.

Light browning on front endpapers, at gutters, due to acidic binder's glue, else a very good, bright copy in defective dust jacket. First edition. A little darkening at inner hinge which is normal with this book, top front corners gently bumped, and cloth spine edges a little rubbed, otherwise near fine in a nice, near fine dust jacket with spine and flap folds a little sunned.
Near Fine in Very Good-dust jacket. 8vo; vii, 147 pages; Half black cloth and green boards, top edge stained orange, printed paper spine label. Jacket is not price-clipped. Edelstein A 11. A.1 "Published March 20, 1947, at $2.50, in a printing of 1, 750 copies." This copy was sent to Stevens from Knopf. Stevens opened it to check its contents and, in so doing, pulled the head of the dust jacket, thus it has two 1/2" closed tears. This copy has a touch of darkening at the front gutter. Provenance: Wallace Stevens>Elsie Stevens>Holly Stevens. A letter confirming provenance will be supplied to the buyer.
