This guy's good, and its very helpful that he included a feminine perspective. Hopefully there will be more books forthcoming by the pair :)

The series as a whole is great. Exceptionally readable and this is important since one is dealing with eleven volumes. Since he/they wrote this over forty years one cannot help but recognize the fact that since the Durant's passing further research has been conducted, however the basics of their take on history and civilization are clear, acute, intelligent and based on then known science and common sense. You can't go wrong with this. One of the volumes was/is quite damaged, and this does not effect the content of what one is reading so over all I'm really happy with my re-aquisition of this very important work. And may I ask where else do you think you can get something like this for these prices? I'll tell you, No Where my friend. No where.
