Fine in Very Good Minus jacket. 208pp. 1952. 8vo. First edition thus in the Folio Society format. A lovely, fresh, clean, tight near fine copy in original very good minus jacket. Original publisher's quarter grey cloth over green cloth boards with gilt embossed title to the spine. No inscriptions. The text supported by a frontispiece and a number of other photographic plates in b/w. The jacket has not been price-clipped and remains very clean. A chip to the head of the spine (with loss of the word 'The' from the title and a chip to the tail of the spine but the 'FS' remain present with slight loss to the margins of the oval catouche which contain these letters. Slight chips to a couple of corners and to the head of the rear panel of the jacket. Several short tears to the margins of the jacket, which have been expertly repaired. A lovely, clean, tight fresh collectable copy in a clean and very largely complete jacket.
