Anderson has been called "The Jim Corbett of the South".His stories though interesting, contain a lot of prose and in some instances, are a little hard to swallow. Corbett wrote basically what he saw and did without the thrilling "Ogre, Mauler, Terror, and Devil". Peter Byrne followed in Corbett's footsteps in his book " Shikari Sahib". He visited the actual scenes of Corbett's hunts talking to people who knew Corbett and even relatives of victims. Andersons's books are however still a good read. Maybe someone will try and follow in Anderson's footsteps someday and authenticate the demise of "The Ogre,Mauler, Terror and Devil".
