Nazis In Power

by Maurice H Bank on Apr 3, 2014

This book is an excellent history of the pre-war years of the Third Reich where Hitler and his entourage ruled with a tight fist, and nothing got by them. Education, Medicine, Law, and other important parts of the society were controlled by appointing pro-Nazi people or people sympathetic to the cause. The author continuously throughout the book makes the reader quite aware of the discrimination against the Jews and others and how so many competent people were removed from positions- in order to make room for the Nazis and their sympathizers. He also makes it abundantly clear that the depression in Germany was halted via a massive arms buildup- where everything including grants- were steered to the arms industry in preparation for war. This book describes everything in the period 1933-1939 when the world looked the other way and payed for it
