Good book to learn choices

by lrmelkert on Oct 1, 2009

It is a good book for any pregnant woman, doula or midwife to learn what choices that they do have and what potential consequences are to choices that are made. Henci definatly states her stance of natural childbirth in the beginning of the book which dictates how the tone of the book will be throughout, but it is a necissary read!

great info fighting for natural childbirth

by Becky on Apr 1, 2007

I really enjoyed it and agreed and appreciated everything she had to say. She included all her research and this book is a great resource for helping convince anyone that natural childbirth is best, and that birth has been de-naturalized through the very medical practices that purport to help it. My one complaint is her tone - she writes very "angrily," and while I agree with her, it was a little disturbing to read, feeling her anger. It's a good resource to pull studies and research from, but may turn people off because of the tone.
