Original publisher, quarter green leather over brown cloth boards. The text supported by a number of engravings. Both boards detached-the rear board detached along with the final page. The top third of the half-title page cut away and missing. Some chips to the front endpaper, which has to be an advertisements page. A number of page corners have been turned and have additional creases because of this with the corners (no text) missing from one or two leaves. Some foxing throughout. A not particularly large soil/stain mark from cooking to the margins of around 40 pages. The front endpaper chipped, worn with marginal tears and some creasing too. A fair copy of a scarce cookery book.
