Manfred Schatz. Fine in Near Fine jacket. Hardcover. Folio-over 12"-15" tall. FIRST EDITION, first printing. Full beige cloth with gilt lettering on the spine, jacket a little ruffled at the spine. No previous owner's names, not exlibrary. Overall a EXCELLENT book in a EXCELLENT brodart protected dust jacket. A good gift. Photos available upon request. Manfred Schatz (December 10, 1925-October 2004) was a German painter. Schatz was a wildlife painter in the last century. Especially he did through the display of wild animals in the movement and appearing in three-dimensional paintings. For some collectors, he is considered representative of a separate late-Impressionism. From art historical perspective of this assessment can not follow. His style and his iconography-measured in the development of painting in the 20th Century-is anachronistic.
Fine. 0872018172 First edition, First printing! The book itself is just like new-clean, tight and unmarked. The dust jacket, however, has an inch long tear on the bottom corner. Apparently lightly read copy. No remainder marks, price clips or other imperfections. (See our photo)
