Description:New. In this volume, Herriot returns home to his beloved family...New. In this volume, Herriot returns home to his beloved family and multitude of patients after World War II with many more tender, funny, sad, and wise stories to tell.
This is Herriott at his usual - stories that captivate the heart. These short stories, like all |Herriott's others, take one away to a diifferent time and place that is innocent, invigorating and with happy endings that refresh the soul.
With this purchase, I now have the full collection in hard cover and the collection is one of my greatest hard cover book treasures.
Like all of James Herriot's books, The Lord God Made Them All is a Godsend for all animal lovers worldwide. His treatment of animals as real beings, each one with its own personality, is delightful, his good-humoured way of treating all the adventures and misadventures of veterinary life in the country is superb. I love him (as a writer, of course, haha).
