The meanings of these terms are carefully described in the context of how the body works in health and disease. In a workbook format, the first four chapters introduce word analysis and terminology from the body as a whole. Subsequent chapters focus on a body system or medical specialty. Laboratory tests, clinical procedures, medical reports, and practical applications are included throughout the text. Students learn to master the medical language through word analysis and seeing terminology in action. Terminology and complex medical processes are presented in an easy-to-understand manner, readily accessible to students of all levels.Hide synopsis

when I got the book it had not said anything about the marks that were already in the book, I was dissapointed because I was expecting a fresh book. other than that I was happy, I kept the book as is and got a lot of information from the book.
This book is a wonderful accompaniment to anyone studying medicine or medical terminology. It has many ways to teach you the principles, but mostly it involves repetition. I highly recommend this book to anyone in the medical or hospital setting.
