This cookbook has a lot of recipes for items that I would not traditionally think of for a slow cooker, (soups and side dishes.) I have tried two of the meat offerings, one was great, one needed a lot of tweaking. As the nature of slow cooking tends to water things down and dilute flavor, you really need to know your own cooker to determine times, not necessarily follow the suggestions.
Photography is beautiful, pictures are inspiring, would have prefered more ideas that don't include 1/2 hour of pretreatment.

This is the one.
The author wanted to create a cookbook that would take slow cooker food from dull to dazzling. She has accomplished her goal with flying colors.
I bought this book because the photographs were tempting and the recipes sounded good. What I found was that the food was even better than the photographs implied.
The recipes are simple. Your house fills with amazing aromas and people think you've slaved away, when you haven't. What more could you ask.
The only other place you will find such flavor is at a very expensive restaurant.
