This movie follows very accurately the text of the Gospel of John with only a few deviations by its writers. The scenes of the environment and characters appear very accurate to my mind from my decades of studying the biblical text and associated history. You will benefit and be moved by this portrayal.

This was Amazing!
I couldn't stop watching. It stirred my soul, gave me much to think about, and was a wonderful re-enactment of the Bible scenes as recorded in the Gospel of John. Even when I was startled by words or actions, I paused to look it up and sure enough there it was. Jesus was portrayed as knowing who He was and what He came to do. His voice was compassionate toward the hurting who needed healing; commanding toward the Pharisees who resented Him; intimate with His disciples who did their best to understand that He was God in the flesh. The narration was also excellently done. I've invited friends to come watch.it.

This is such an excellent DVD! At my first viewing, I followed along in the Bible (KJV), and, even though it's a different translation, it was an exact rendition. The actor who portrays Jesus seems to get a very good balance between the confidence he has because he knows who he is and the humility we know he possessed. If you want an excellent visual portrayal of the book of John, I highly recommend this DVD!
