Wonderful Book!

by Karen G on May 24, 2012

I found this book healing in many ways. As a cultural Christian, I found myself identifying most closely to the Islamic woman which surprised and pleased me. I bought 3 additional books to give to friends. Absolutley delightful reading!

Great to read, share & pass on to others

by JoannBlackburn on Aug 5, 2010

Jusr purchased 20"used" copies for a church's womens group to study. Will do as reader's theater, as chapters are broken down by topic & each mother's speaking voice.. Awesome book to promote understanding between the faiths and acceptance of each other. Anticipation in the sharing gives me goosebumps!

changed their lives

by elis on Jul 10, 2009

At first I found the book a bit trivial reflecting their own simplistic lives. Once they really got engaged in the process the book improved as well. Their experience changed their lives, attitudes and interactions with others - it can be a starting place for those who have no contact with people different than they are. The summaries of the 3 religions in the back of the paperback version is simple but can be helpful for those who know little about the basics of the faith. Worth reading and sharing.

Helps to fill a big void

by PonderingPaul on Feb 7, 2008

I found this book to help to fill a big void for me in interfaith understanding. We're bombarded with extreme views of major religions, and there are plenty of people around to tell us about them--in the media, globally and among our families and friends too. I don't want to participate in the fear and dis-ease this all generates. I found these women to be models of openness and caring; able to change their faith as they grew together and separately; able to grow while being truly honest with themselves and each other; and then to go out into their own communities to share with those they could, what they have been learning. Thank you, Priscilla, Ranya and Suzanne. I feel as though I know you. Being a retired minister, I would recommend this book highly to anyone who wants to go on this pilgrimage. It would be great for any discussion group including a religion setting.

Asked important questions

by CarolR on Jan 31, 2008

This book brought up important issues that everyone should consider. I found the going slow . . . best to just read a little at a time and think about it.
