The "(M. )" stands in for the last name of the recipient Lloyd Morgan of Morgan & Morgan Press and the son of the acclaimed photographer Barbara Morgan, from whose family the book was acquired. Large quarto volume (9.5" by 10.75"), unpaginated (circa 280 pages), more than 300 B&W photographs and drawings.
Very Good+ in Very Good+ jacket. First U.S. edition, hardcover, slight lean, light toning to page edges, otherwise a VG+ copy in like dustjacket which has a little wear to the spine ends and a couple of light scratches to the rear panel.

Moderately rubbed exterior with some discoloration on spine and edges. Binding is tight. Pages are lightly age-toned. Black and white images throughout.

Spine evenly faded and with a few minor spots on covers; still a very good clean copy of this uncommon book, with two incredible signed drawings and personal inscriptions from Beard--one small on the front free endpaper, along with a commemorative button from the exhibition. The other is executed in ink and red glitter and spans across the title and facing page.
