A good + hardcover copy overall with moderate shelf wear, fraying started to the top and bottom edges of the spine cloth, hinges and bindings solid, paper clean moderately yellowed, with minor scattered foxing and fore-edges darkened.

Sheridan (1751-1816) took over at the Drury Lane Theatre after Garrick, and this edition includes Sheridan's verse to Garrick's memory.

Externally, generally smart, though with some wear to the extremities, including slight loss to the head and tail of the spine. Joints are cracked. Internally, firmly bound. Ink inscription to the front endpaper. Slight offsetting to the title page, but otherwise pages are bright and clean. Overall: GOOD.
