Alongside the body is a series of baffling ciphers. Langdon and a gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, are stunned to find a trail that leads to the works of Da Vinci - and further. The curator, part of a secret society named the Priory of Sion, may have sacrificed his life to keep secret the location of a vastly important religious relic hidden for centuries. It appears that the clandestine Vatican-sanctioned Catholic sect Opus Dei has now made its move. Unless Landon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine code and quickly assemble the pieces of the puzzle, the Priory's secret - and a stunning historical truth - will be lost forever.Hide synopsis

I think the way Dan Brown works is really amazing. While you are reading a story, all the information that you read about cults, rituals, historic events and monuments are true and accurate. This book has a great story, is told in a superb way and is much better than the movie.
This is the first book by Mr. Brown that I have read. I was fascinated by this book from the very beginning. This book is full of twists and turns with a few puzzles tossed in. You will have finished this book without realizing you've spent all evening. This is not a book you want to pass up.
This is probably my favorite book of all time! This is the book I read - 5 or 6 years ago that really made me WANT to read... and read I have!!!
This book has it all. Murder, Mystery, History, Symbolism, Love, Tragedy, Travel, EVERYTHING!!! It's absolutely perfect.
This book... made me open my eyes to the possiblity of things out there that my momma didn't tell me about. I really felt liberated after reading this.
I only read this book because of the controversy surrounding it. I wanted to know what all the noise was about, so i did'nt expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I didn't think I would enjoy this book due to the involvement of religion but I thoroughly did. The problem solving in the book is excellent and I really liked the main character Langdon. A good read indeed!
"Do not react to this message. Just listen calmly. You are in danger right now. Follow my directions very closely."
I'm so excited for the new Dan Brown book to be released next month so I'm re-reading The Da Vinci Code right now.
It's ten years since I read it the first time. Following Langdon ...
