I haven't been too familiar with all of John Hughes' films. So, I watched THE BREAKFAST CLUB. How much fun! Hughes manages to tell a story, while making you want to be where everyone else is. He gives the movie charm, appeal and very good drama. He also gets nice performances out of the very young actors at the time! Good one.

Story is still true in the 2000s

From the music to the set to the characters, John Hughes really got what it was like to be a teenager in the 80's. Hughes truley reflected each sterotype of high school that every student, regardless of region, could identify with and understand. None of his other films ever addressed the fears, failures and successes of the American high school teenager like The Breakfast Club; plus Hughes had you wondering what was going to happen on Monday.

Wish I went to school in the 80's

That;s what this movie makes me think and feel. Like i want to live in the 80's. Even though I just graduated [Class of 09'] I LOVE this movie. It's my fav. teen movie of all time.

Great Teen Movie

by RedAdept on Sep 18, 2008

This was one of my favorite movies in high school. I went to high school back in the '80s, but my son, who just graduated, says that it is still true today. An absolutely wonderful movie with lots of actors/actresses that went on to become famous. See them here when they were just starting out. You will quickly understand why they went on to do more. Who were you in school? The jock, the princess, the stoner, the brain, the weird chick in the back of the room?
